Privacy policy

This policy covers valleymoving.com and the information you send us through it. Valley Moving is a moving company, not an advertising business: we collect what we need to quote and run your move, and nothing beyond that.

What we collect

When you fill in the quote form or the contact form, we collect what you type into it: your name, your email address and phone number, the addresses you are moving between, your target date, and the details you give us about the move itself. If you telephone or email us instead, we keep the same kinds of details from that conversation.

We also use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand which pages are used and how fast they load. These record page views and performance measurements without cookies and without building a profile of you across other websites.

What we do with it

We use the information you send us to:

• Prepare and send your estimate
• Contact you about that estimate and about your move
• Plan and carry out the move itself
• Keep the records a moving company is required to keep

We do not sell your information. We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote, and we do not pass your details to lead brokers or to other moving companies.

Who else sees it

Form submissions are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase, and a notification is emailed to our staff through Resend. This website is hosted by Vercel. Those three companies process the data on our instructions in order to run the site and receive the enquiry, and for no purpose of their own.

We will disclose information where the law requires it, and no further than the law requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become moves are kept while they are useful and then deleted. Records of completed moves are kept for as long as we are required to keep them, because a moving company has record keeping obligations that outlast the job.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email staff@valleymoving.com and we will action it. If you ask us to delete records we are legally required to retain, we will tell you which those are rather than quietly keeping them.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
